"When I first learned about the low-glycemic way of eating, I thought it was just another diet. Then, I started to see results on a person I knew was eating this way, and they were feeling good. So, I decided to try it.
I learned so much about the way I eat, and what foods work for me and what don't. I have learned what causes the stomach pains, and have been pain free for over 6 months. I don't feel fatigued anymore, and have a regular work-out schedule. I have not changed anything in my life, other than what I am putting in my body. I feel like I have gained years back, and actually feel younger now than I did 5 years ago. Another "perk" is that I have lost 15 inches, and 15 pounds. I am down 2 dress sizes, and enjoying buying clothes that fit and look nice.
I do find that once in awhile I will go back to the old way of eating, and I can feel that I am tired, crabby, bloated, and get headaches. When I stay with the low-glycemic eating I do not crave foods, especially sweets, and I don't think about food all the time. Sometimes I forget to eat when I am supposed to, because I am not hungry."
This has been a change of life for me, and I know that it has also helped my family. I now cook different, and buy food that keeps them feeling healthy and happy."
